Fruity carrot and apple salad
Ingredients
- 1 kg carrots
- 4 apples
- 1 organic lemon zest and juice
- 100 ml orange juice or apple juice
- 5 drops of lemon flavouring
- 2-3 tbsp sugar
- pepper
Instructions
- Firstly, peel the carrots and cut off the end with a knife.
- Peel, quarter and core the apples and wash the organic lemon thoroughly.
- Grate the carrots with a fine grater, as well as the zest from the organic lemon.
- Important: When grating the lemon, make sure that you don't rub off the white part of the lemon, as this tastes bitter.
- Then cut the lemons in half and squeeze out the juice.
- Grate the apples with a slightly coarser grater.
- Place the grated carrot, lemon zest and apples in a bowl and add the orange or apple juice, lemon flavouring, sugar and pepper.
- Now flavour the salad and add a little more to taste.
- The carrot salad does not need to marinate and can be eaten immediately. Enjoy it and feel free to leave me a comment.
