    Instructions

    Cooking piece

    • To make the cooked piece, stir together flour and milk in a saucepan until lump-free. It is then heated over medium heat until it reaches a pudding-like consistency. The saucepan with the cooked piece is now set aside to cool.

    Main dough

    • The milk is mixed with yeast and sugar in a large bowl. Then add flour, butter, egg, salt, vanilla paste or vanilla bean, orange zest and the cooking piece. Using a food processor or by hand, knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes soft and smooth.
    • After kneading, the dough is rounded, that is, to create a surface tension, the edges of the dough are folded to the center. Now the dough is placed on the folded side and pushed with both hands over the tabletop in a circular motion. The goal is for the dough surface to become smooth.
    • The bowl and the dough are both oiled. The dough goes into the bowl, is covered and placed in a warm place for about 1-2 hours until the dough has doubled in size.
    • After rising, the dough is divided into equal 14 parts and similar to the above each one is rounded. The balls are flattened on a lightly floured surface and with, for example, an apple piercer, or wooden spoon, a hole is poked in the center and widened a bit if it is still too small. Until frying, the doughnuts are placed on a baking sheet with baking paper, on which flour is sifted beforehand. For about 20-30 minutes, let the dough rest again.
    • The frying fat is brought to a temperature between 150-160 degrees in a large pot. Check the temperature with a thermometer or hold a wooden stick and wait until bubbles rise, then the fat is hot enough. Place the donuts upside down with the nice side into the hot fat. Fry for 60-90 seconds per side, then turn them over with the ladle and remove them. After frying, place them on a plate with paper towels to drain the excess fat.

    Decoration

    • For the sugar glaze, stir all the ingredients together to make a thick glaze. Then use a teaspoon to spread the glaze over the donuts.
    • To make the spider webs, melt the marshmallows on a water bath or in the microwave. The mixture is then pulled apart with your hands and placed over the donuts.
    • Finally, decorate with edible gold powder, roses and pearls.
    • Now enjoy with you and your family or give these creepy bites as gifts.
    • Bon appetit
